After much drama and tension, New York Knicks decided not to match the Houston Rockets’ offer sheet and let Jeremy Lin go to the Houston Rockets.
The Rockets, after giving up their guards in Goran Dragic and Kyle Lowry, now lands Jeremy Lin as their starting point guard.
The Rockets just lost Luis Scola as well this week so it’ll be a busy pre-season for the team as they try to rebuild with a new roster while having the cap room to do so.
The Rockets are still working their way to land prized-center and primadonna, Dwight Howard, but the center seems to be heading to Hollywood to join Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant, but that’s still in the works.
Lin is poised to make $11 million in the first 2 years of his contract while it rockets to (no pun intended) $14.9 million in its third year.
Lin previously played for the Rockets in last year’s pre-season camp and it’s come full circle now that he’s back as a Rocket.
He’ll now be working with Kevin Martin, Chandler Parsons, and a slew of young rookies as well as potential bigger-name FAs.
Well, Carmelo and J.R., I hope the Knicks locker will not have any “ridiculous” and “undeserved contract” discussions this season.
Fly high Jeremy! You made tons of money for the Knicks and they used you like any other commercial product, Dolan & Co. feels that the ROI for the likes of Carmelo, Amare, JR Smith, etc. is safer than investing in you, so be it.
Now what are we going to do with the logo we made for this site, hmm… I guess as long as you’re still wearing #17, we’re good
