After winning an exciting game against the Chicago Bulls a few nights ago, the New York Knicks fail to repeat the performance against a Derrick Rose-less Chicago Bulls, losing 98-86 in the Windy City.
Rip Hamilton resurrected from nowhere to lead the Bulls with 20 points. Luol Deng continues his steady and solid play, contributing 19 points and 10 rebounds while Carlos Boozer chipped in a lack-luster 10 point, 8 rebound effort.
While the Knicks’ win on the Bulls two nights ago was epic, it also showed the Knicks needing a lot of miracle plays and good luck to steal the win at the Garden.
The Bulls have been stellar without their MVP since the All-Star break, winning 16 of 23 without him against good teams as well. Rose got an ankle injury after their last game against the Knicks.
Chicago now has a three game lead of Miami for the Eastern Conference lead, further solidifying their #1 spot in the East.

The Knicks were once again lead by Carmelo Anthony with 29 points off an efficient 11-19 shooting including 4 steals. Iman Shumpert 12 points with two 3-pointers while J.R. Smith anchored the bench with 14 points of his own.
But the Knicks had no answer to the Bulls’ offense in the 2nd quarter, being outscored 25-10 and started the 2nd half with 12 point deficit.
